You seeing rain in your parts for Wednesday? I am debating which tires are worse, my Miata or the STi. Both have thoroughly beat to shit 200TW summer tires and this is the first rain predicted since like April. So the roads should be nice and greasy. I am wondering if I should just get the snow tires put on my Subaru now to be safe.

First day of the quarterly shift change, so in at 0500. At least I have a consistent start time every day and weekends off, which some people tend to prefer but IDGAF about that. At least I start at the same time, so no more mornings on some days end evenings on others; I should be able to have a decent sleep schedule for a change.

New set of Michelins on order, and I'll have them installed tomorrow after work. Snow and ice season coming up, as well as a safety inspection, so time to get it out of the way before disaster strikes.

Not good. Mini's steering has been vibrating for a while now, I thought the shop that repaired my flat tire messed up the balancing. Went to another shop and it was perfect. Now I'm thinking what may be causing the vibes.

Just checked the weather, thunderstorms apparently. I’d go with the snow tires & Subaru Symmetrical AWD this week if it’s a concern.

Now I have to go check if my windshield wipers even work; never used them before :P

Is it with different speeds? Linear increase with speed or resonating at certain speeds? Might be able to diagnose a bit better that way.

Thankfully they are not true snow tires, but all weather Nokians so they wont melt on the next 90 degree day at least. But yeah its probably better to be safe than sorry, especially since I already have the tires on hand anyways. I feel like my wipers are one use and then I replace them out here since they age out before I actually use them again lol.

Frequency does depend upon the speed so it is related to the tire/wheel. Seems to resonate at around 80mph.  I have also rotated the wheels (it went away when I did) so it is definitely that tire/wheel. Inspected the suspension as well, everything is fine there.

Gonna mess around with tire pressures now, see if that decreases the amplitude of them vibes.
